A born-and-bred Valley girl with a pop pedigree and a DIY ethos, LIZ has lived many lives before most artists release their first single. She grew up sneaking into clubs on Sunset Strip through the back door—not to party, but to perform. A child ballet dancer, actor, and musical theatre kid who idolized her big sister and soaked up every creative outlet LA had to offer, she was always destined for the stage.

But it was her choir teacher, Mr. Kay, who lit the match. He made her feel seen, gave her solos, and encouraged her to dig deeper into her voice. Soon after, she discovered the holy trinity of late-’90s pop: VH1 Divas, TRL, and the Spice Girls. A near-miss audition for a girl group on Jive Records ended up changing her life—while she didn’t make the cut, the producer wanted to develop her as a solo act. “From that moment on,” she says, “I was possessed by my teeny bopper fantasies. I still am.”

Her influences are a who’s who of Y2K royalty: Madonna, Mariah, Janet, Britney, Christina, Aaliyah—alongside hitmakers like Max Martin and Darkchild, whose DNA courses through her glossy, meta-future, tongue-'n-cheek brand of pop. During her teen years, she was mentored by legendary songwriters like Shelly Peiken and Lauren Christy, who schooled her on the mechanics of a perfect pop song. Just as pivotal? David Bowie, whose world-building and shapeshifting artistry left a lasting impression.

Still, the road hasn’t been a straight shot to stardom. “Oh boy,” she laughs, “I’ve had so many ‘almosts.’” But it’s the detours that made her resilient. Singing demos for other artists led to writing sessions of her own. Saying yes to favors and new connections opened unexpected doors. “Sometimes the path isn’t what you envisioned, but you just never know where it’ll lead. Have a good work ethic, be open, and show up.”

Now, 25 years into her music journey, she’s still evolving—and still deeply in love with the craft of pop. A true Y2K baby popstar turned seasoned artist, her experience and vision have come full circle. With a brand new album on the horizon, she’s stepping into her next era with clarity, style, and a sound that’s unmistakably her own.
