Artist Spotlight

Eric Bellinger is a Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and producer from LA. He has appeared on some of the most popular R&B tracks, and he’s worked with many of the biggest names in the industry.

Before Bellinger’s music career took off, he was a football player who received a scholarship from USC, which he turned down to pursue his passion for music. Bellinger joined a music group called AKNU (A Kind Never Understood) and became a member of several other music groups throughout the early stages of his career. His talent for songwriting was soon recognized, and he got himself in the studio to collaborate with Chris Brown, who then led him to work with other R&B and pop legends like Usher, Justin Bieber, and Selena Gomez, to name a few.

Bellinger was already a highly sought-after songwriter, however, he was also passionate about singing and wanted to focus on making music for himself. It was difficult to redefine himself as a singer/songwriter, but by 2013 Bellinger stepped out as a solo artist with his mixtape “The Rebirth.”

Bellinger describes himself as an artist who “stays in his lane.” He knows what he likes, and stays true to himself in his music. He’s also extremely intentional, which is one of the reasons he has been so successful – he can write songs in under 10 minutes!

Eric Bellinger recently released an upbeat, catchy single that highlights his songwriting skills, as well as his mesmerizing vocals. You can stream “La Perla” here: https://too.fm/lpxbn85
