Brooklyn-based artist Doov is carving out his own lane with Dancerap, a genre-blurring fusion of pop-rap and electronic production designed for the dancefloor. After emerging from New Jersey’s SoundCloud scene, a transformative stay in Berlin introduced him to the city’s underground techno culture, inspiring a complete evolution of sound. Today, that influence fuels the high-energy, club-ready style that has become his signature. 

Working alongside his brother and co-producer Silly J, Doov has built Dancerap into a growing movement, attracting more than 1.4 million organic streams each month. With a recently sold-out show at New York City’s Mercury Lounge and the launch of his own Dancerap event series, he’s helping shape the next wave of club-inspired rap music.

His latest single, “Hold On,” channels the energy of early 2000s club music through a modern Jersey club lens. Built around an interpolation of Bob Sinclair’s iconic “World, Hold On,” the track transforms a familiar dance classic into a fast-paced, feel-good anthem made for summer playlists, packed dance floors, and late night drives alike.
