Artist Spotlight: Davey Allen
Davey Allen is bringing a fresh edge to modern rock with raspy, powerhouse vocals and a sound that fuses the grit of ‘90s grunge, the energy of early 2000s rock, and just the right touch of country twang. Raised in Webster, New York, Davey’s journey began on the football field, where years of dedication took him from youth leagues to playing Division I football at the University of Rhode Island and pursuing an NFL opportunity. Today, that same work ethic fuels his music career as he leaves his 9-to-5 behind to focus full-time on performing, writing, and building an unforgettable live show.
His latest release, “Ghost Town,” which has been years in the making, came out on August 7th. Davey originally wrote it in 2024, before he had ever stepped onto an open mic stage, with influences from Chris Daughtry, Jason Aldean, and the raw power of Alice in Chains. After spending more than a year searching for the right producer, he found the perfect collaborator in Nashville with legendary guitarist and producer Adam Shoenfeld. Together, they reworked the original arrangement while preserving its grit and emotion, bringing Davey’s vision to life exactly as he imagined.
With his unmistakable voice, authentic songwriting, and a sound that bridges rock and country influences, Davey Allen is carving out a lane all his own. If “Ghost Town” is any indication of what's to come, this is just the beginning.
