With a mission to bring the fun, energy, and excitement back to the genre, the rising artist has quickly built a name for himself across both the R&B and dance communities.

Chikoruss first broke onto the scene with “In 2 Deep,” which has surpassed 15 million streams and landed on Spotify’s Viral 50 Korea chart. Since then, his momentum has continued to grow. He’s been featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday Canada billboard in downtown Toronto, while Billboard recognized his sound with the line, “The dream of 2000s R&B is alive in Montreal.” 

Beyond his own releases, Chikoruss has become a standout in the dance community, with more than 30,000 dance videos created across his catalog. His music naturally lends itself to movement, combining catchy melodies and upbeat production with the kind of nostalgic R&B sound that keeps listeners coming back.

That versatility has been especially clear in his recent releases. Following the R&B anthem “Turn You Up” and the dancehall-inspired “I Know,” Chikoruss dropped “So Scandalous,” which has become his second-biggest record to date. Meanwhile, “Can’t Stop (Loving You),” produced by Luya, taps into the classic slow-jam side of R&B, showing another layer of what Chikoruss brings to the genre.

Now, he’s bringing all of those sounds together with his debut project, R&Bounce Vol. 1, arriving today. The project blends classic R&B nostalgia with upbeat tracks made for the club and dance community, offering a snapshot of the sound Chikoruss has been building toward.
