Artist Spotlight: Baileyrp
Today’s glitch-tinged pop has a new leader: Baileyrp.
Glitch pop is evolving in real time, and Baileyrp is at the center of it.
The Colorado-based artist is pulling listeners into her world by building full songs live using micro-samplers, a live loop, and a synth setup that includes a Nintendo DS and calculators. She calls it “beep-boop calculator music.” It’s raw, playful, technical, and completely her own.
The internet is paying attention. She’s earned co-signs from Doggone, Sekko, DERBY, and Scrobaby, while her performance clips of original songs have surpassed 1M+ views across Reels and TikTok. In just four months, she’s grown her Instagram following from 400 to over 40K by sharing outdoor performances of her originals, engineering tutorials, and covers of artists like Mk.gee and 2hollis.
Now, she’s stepping into her next chapter. Her new single, Halo, just dropped. She describes it as “a conversation with myself” — an introspective record for listeners who think deeply about the world around them.
We’re excited to see what BaileyRP has in store for the rest of the year.
