Goldy grew up in Flossmoor, a south suburb of Chicago where jazz records from his dad filled the house and middle-school clarinet practice kicked off his first steps into music. Everything shifted when he discovered J. Cole — the moment that pushed him toward making beats and shaped the sound he’s known for today: a steady, laid-back delivery over energetic, feel-good production.

His influences change as he grows, but early staples like Donald Glover, Juice WRLD, and his father built the base of his artistry. And like many independent artists, the biggest challenge at the start wasn’t creativity, it was consistency. Releasing, promoting, showing up, and staying active. Nearly seven years in, Goldy has locked in a process that works, and it’s helped him build a fanbase that stays tapped in with every drop.

That work is turning into real results. Goldy recently headlined a show at Bookclub in Chicago and is steadily building momentum around his latest album Geneva.
