The Role

Interested in music, strategy, and the business behind the release? Too Lost is looking for driven interns to join our summer program and gain hands-on experience across our LA and NY teams. This is a chance to learn how a modern music distribution company supports artists and partners through strategy, marketing, operations, and deal execution.

Too Lost is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Product Management/Commercial Partnerships Intern based in Los Angeles. This role is ideal for students passionate about the music industry and interested in gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-growing environment. The intern will assist the Product Management and Commercial Partnerships team with artist and label development, marketing strategy, and campaign analysis, supporting a range of independent artists and teams. The team is dedicated to supporting priority artists and label accounts, ensuring that releases receive comprehensive service. Our team excels in collecting and managing marketing and pitch information, securing placements, sharing platform best practices, and actively contributing to the success of the pitching process.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Collaborate with Product Management/Commercial Partnerships teams, working directly with artists, their teams, and our internal marketing team.
  • Assist in creating and refining pitches for priority releases.
  • Help implement artist development strategies, track release plans, and analyze the impact of release campaigns.
  • Communicate with A&Rs and clients, ensuring timely project submissions and clear understanding of deadlines and deliverables.
  • Provide marketing updates to the team to support artist presence and success across digital platforms.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including updating spreadsheets, managing backend pitch tools, and checking the Product Management email inbox.
  • Maintain the Priority Artist drive, ensuring it is organized and updated with the latest artist assets, press photos, and EPKs.
  • Support the tracking and reporting of DSP placements to Too Lost's social media team and clients.

What We Are Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university or eligible to receive internship credit.
  • Based in Los Angeles and available to work on-site 2-3 days a week
  • Strong interest in music, digital marketing, and artist development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and AirTable; familiarity with music industry tools like Spotify for Artists is a plus.
  • Self-sufficient and independent while working collaboratively in a team.
  • Quick learner who easily adapts to operational processes and technical systems.
  • Knowledge of streaming platforms such as Spotify, iTunes/Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) with both internal and external teams.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.

What You’ll Gain

  • Direct exposure to product management and commercial partnerships in the music industry.
  • Hands-on experience supporting artist development and analyzing marketing campaigns.
  • Insight into strategic planning and the technical processes behind independent music distribution and promotion.
  • Professional development and networking opportunities in the Los Angeles music scene.

Why Too Lost
